Free Kindergarten Number Sense Games

October 17, 2019

Number sense in kindergarten and first grade is where we usually start in our math instruction. To help students become more fluent in their understanding of numbers, I have three fun math games students can play to practice.

All three games are SUPER simple. You’ll just need to print and play. I particularly like these games, because they are very easy to make seasonal. Instead of cubes, you can use Halloween erasers. You can grab seasonal stamps! In the video I share below, I explain how I use them during the Halloween season, but I also share tips on making them easy-to-use all year long!

Take a few minutes and see how to play all three games below:

After you watch the video and see how to play, you can grab all the printables here >>> recording sheets.

If you happen to like these games, you’ll also love these blog posts about other number sense activities:

Pin to remember this game:

Kindergarten and first grade students need tons of practice with number sense. They need to see and feel the numbers over and over throughout the year. Over on the blog post, I went ahead and shared 3 fun and FREE games to help your students practice number sense. #kindergartenmath #numbersense #firstgrademath

  • I was able to find them on TPT by searching her name. Hope that helps!

Susan, thanks so much for these. I am going to use “Take Them” with my kinders this week!
