These mini-books are only 1-sheet pages, so you simply fold them to create individual books. Each book includes 4 distinct pages so students get used to the layout as the skills progress. The pages are as follows:
- Page 1: Title page where students write their names. Includes the target skill and images from the story they will read.
- Page 2: Students will read individual words with the phonics pattern and practice word mapping (to connect phonemes to graphemes) with two different words.
- Page 3: Students will read a passage with the words from pages 1 & 2 included. They will read the story 3 times and highlight words with the target pattern.
- Page 4: Students will draw a sketch of what they read to show their understanding.
