In August, students will:

In September, students will:

- Identify the odd one out in a set of rhyming words
- Identify the number of syllables in a word
- Work on 1-to-1 correspondence with #s 1-5
- Identify different ways to make #s 1-5
- Order numbers 1-5
- Practice writing the days of the week
In October, students will:
- Identify the day of the week
- Identify words with the same number of syllables
- Compare sets of objects to determine which is larger
- Practice writing the date
- Identify images with the same beginning sounds
- Work on 1-to-1 correspondence and number formation (within 10)
- Order numbers (within 10)
In November, students will:
- Identify the day of the week
- Combine words to create compound words
- Order numbers from smallest to largest
- Practice handwriting and capital letters at the beginning of names
- Identify the beginning sounds of a word
- Make 10 from any number less than 10
- Identify one less and one more
In December, students will:
- Identify the day of the week
- Delete the beginning word of a compound word
- Complete the beginning letters of CVC words
- Identify 2D/3D Shapes
- Compare objects (length, height, weight)
In January, students will:
- Identify the day of the week
- Identify if two words end in the same sound
- Identify the ending letter of words
- Solve addition problems within 5
- Identify objects using positional words
In February, students will:

- Blend onset + rime to identify words
- Blend letters to make words
- Solve subtraction problems within 5
- Complete number bonds within 10
- Practice handwriting and capital letters at the beginning of names
In March, students will:
- Identify the day of the week
- Segment sounds in words (up to 4 sounds)
- Count place value blocks to identify numbers (within 20)
- Identify the middle sound of a word (CVC words)
- Draw base ten blocks to show a number (within 20)
In April, students will:
- Identify the day of the week
- Segment sounds of words (2-4 sounds)
- Identify if two words have the same medial phoneme
- Solve addition problems within 10
- Identify if two words have the same number of phonemes
- Identify addition equations by looking at images
In May, students will:
- Identify the day of the week
- Substitute initial phonemes to identify new words
- Substitute initial phonemes to write new words
- Solve subtraction problems within 10
- Identify subtraction equations by looking at images
