Number Talks: Geometry Math Talks for 1st and 2nd Grade

These geometry math talks help students discuss 2D and 3D shapes and their attributes. They go through odd one out tasks and discuss fractions!

This set includes 24 slides to help students with the following skills:

• identifying 2D shapes
• identifying 3D shapes
• identifying attributes of 2D/3D shapes
• comparing fractions (1/2, 1/3, 1/4)

There are also editable slides so you can add your own problems as students need!

How do you use these?

Math talks should be implemented in your K-2 classroom every single day for about 5 minutes per day! You can simply display a few of the number talks and use the guided questions I provide to talk about math in a meaningful way with your students. These are also great to use in small groups on a particular skill that needs review!
