Missing Numbers:Â In this math talk pack, students will work to identify the missing part of the number bond and explain their thinking. As they progress through the slides, they first just explain how they got the answer, then move to the relationship between addition and subtraction.
This set includes 24 slides to help students with the following skills:
- identifying the missing number in a number bond
- identifying the missing number in a number bond and identifying addition and subtraction equations we can show with a number bond
There are also editable slides so you can add your own problems as students need!
How do you use these?
Math talks should be implemented in your K-2 classroom every single day for about 5 minutes per day! You can simply display a few of the number talks and use the guided questions I provide to talk about math in a meaningful way with your students. These are also great to use in small groups on a particular skill that needs review!
