These daily math talks are perfect to guide student thinking and help foster meaningful math discussions in your classroom. This math talk bundle provides numerous skills so it can grow with your students throughout the year! Within each skill, the slides progress from easier talks to provide conceptual learning to more fluent talks where students can continue to provide reasoning for their solutions.
These will help build students’ number sense so they can learn to solve problems in different ways, provide reasoning for their answers, and talk about math in grades K-2!
This set includes 24 slides to help students with:
- Subitizing
Within each skill, there are 24 different slides and they include an editable slide so you can add your own problems.
How do you use these?
Math talks should be implemented in your K-2 classroom every single day for about 5 minutes per day! You can simply display a few of the number talks and use the guided questions I provide to talk about math in a meaningful way with your students. These are also great to use in small groups on a particular skill that needs review!
Please download the preview to see examples of the different math talks included.
Enjoy!
